At SurfZone academy we begin the first lesson by teaching the basic of surfing, like water safety, surfing etiquette, wave dynamics, how to paddle a surfboard, how to catch a wave, as well as how to stand up and ride a wave, al before you hit the beach.

We believe in teaching you pratical surfing skills depending on your progress, so that the experience is fun and rewarding.

Our Surf Camps for beginners are designed to give you everything you need to have fun and safe.

Sun - Arrival in Afternoon
Mon morn - Surf basics at our pool-followed by 1st lesson in the white water of Playa maderas
Tues - Self practice, supervised by a member of our surf team
Wed - 2nd lesson, taken into the line up and give advanced training and supervision of wave catching
Thurs - Boat trip to the southern breaks, for more practice and perhaps a little fishing
Fri - Schedule rest day, additional surfing or other activities optional
Sat - Full day of surfing at Playa maderas, unsupervised

At SurfZone our daily guided tours takes you to he best waves in Southern Nicaragua. We use only Experienced Nicaraguan Surfing Guides. Their local knowledge will help you find the best surf each every day via 4x4 transport or by a rapid pango.

Our daily surf trips will take you to many well know sports, a long with lesson known surf breaks available only by sea.

Our Guides are also excellent surf instructors, they will answer any question and assist you, you will improve your surfing technique and have more fun and catch more waves.

I have been surfing, it seems, my entire life. My professional surfing experience has been from competing in international surf contests in Central and South America, to the management of different surf programs and facilities. It has taken me over 15 years to perfect my teaching techniques, and to simplify the sport of surfing. Surfing is as much mental as physical. A form of meditation, a connection with one self and our blue planet. My greatest satisfaction is to share this type of surfing experience with others.
